Heels dance focuses on self-empowerment, with technique that highlights the lines of the body, strength and balance, confidence, and sensuality. This style of dance often mixes jazz, contemporary and hip-hop technique while encouraging a new and confident way of moving. Expect plenty of walks, floor work, and mature movement. We recommend heels that have strong ankle support and an open toe. A stiletto is preferred but not required, and we recommend it being 3-5 inches tall. Kneepads are also highly recommended for these classes as the choreography often involves floor work.
