What Youth Classes Are Like

Youth classes are drop-in dance classes for ages 8–13. Each week, students work on foundational steps, pick up new skills, and practice fun choreography routines.

Our most popular youth class is Youth K-Pop. K-pop is famous for its iconic choreography, made popular by Korean pop idols, and in class students learn dance vocabulary along with covers of popular K-pop dances.

All levels are welcome, from total beginners to kids who have been dancing for years.

Once dancers turn 14, they can join select adult drop-in classes with parental consent (some classes are 18+), as well as our performance programs. Youth classes build the foundations and skills to keep dancing right along with the adults.

Building Dancers, Artists, and Friendships

Our instructors are active performers, choreographers, and educators, and they love sharing what they know with the next generation. We are not a competitive dance program: the focus is on strong technique, outstanding performances, and learning the history and terminology of the styles students study.

Parents' Questions

How far ahead can I book?

Youth classes can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance, on the website, in the app, or at the front desk. Space is first come, first served.

My child is new. How do we get started?

Welcome! Your child needs their own account the first time you book. Make one on the website, in the app, or at the front desk, then pick any class on the schedule above. No experience needed.

What is Youth K-Pop?

Youth K-Pop is our most popular kids' class. K-pop is a musical genre known for iconic choreography, made famous by Korean pop idols. In class, dancers learn dance vocabulary and covers of popular K-pop dances. Check the schedule above for this week's classes.

Can parents stay and watch?

We keep the class to just the teacher and the students, since an audience makes some kids nervous. You are always welcome to peek through our viewing window.

Does my child have to come every week?

No, every youth class is drop-in, so you can book class by class around your family's schedule. That said, coming weekly helps students level up their skills and confidence.

What if we need to cancel a booked class?

Cancel more than 2 hours before class starts and it counts as an early cancellation: the class goes right back on your account. Cancel within 2 hours of the start time and that class is deducted. The full details are on our policies page.

Do I need a pass to book?

Yes, booking a class uses a pass or membership. Every option is on our Buy Passes page.

What happens when my child turns 14?

At 14, dancers can join select adult drop-in classes with parental consent, as well as our performance programs. Some adult classes are 18+, so check with us before booking. Youth classes build the foundations and skills to make that move an easy one.

More questions? The FAQ covers everything, and Our Policies has the fine print. You can also book a free info session to see the studio and chat with us before your child's first class.
