Dance Styles / Contemporary
Sophie began her dance training at Precision Dance Company located in the Annapolis Valley. There, she primarily trained in Contemporary, Jazz, and Modern techniques under the direction of Christopher Knowles and Sidney Mcilroy successively. As well, she received ballet training and completed several examinations with the CDTA and RAD certified Cadance Academy, under the direction of Gaea Jess. Sophie also has a vast background in Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and Improv techniques which have helped to enhance her own personal style of dance. Over the past decade, Sophie has competed in several dance competitions around the Maritimes, winning multiple titles and scholarship awards, as well as furthered her education at dance intensives, conventions, and workshops. Recently, Sophie has signed with Aspiring Artists Management and is currently training and working in Halifax.
